Anno 117 Get the Game

Rebellion, payment, and consul

Refusing the emperor’s payment starts a rebellion track. Paying is the other track. AnnoZone’s thread is the public write-up of the waves, and Update 3.0’s notes are the official bug list around allies and pirates. I am not choosing a track for you.

What the thread actually measured

The emperor gathers transports in the bottom-right before a wave, with warships on both sides. Players intercept by parking a fleet on that muster point early. One report says wave 9 took about 40 quinqueremes, and that faster fleets were hit less often. That figure is one forum thread. It is not an official wave table, and I will not extend it to waves 10 and beyond.

Consul and the 3.0 fix

The same community reported that beating the emperor did not grant pro-consul status. Separately, Patch 3.0 says units that had submitted as an ally could not attack pirate buildings, with an “invalid target” result, and that this is fixed including on affected saves. Those are two different bugs. I am not merging them into one “rebellion is broken” line.

German queries on this system ask how many waves, what happens if you do not pay, and how to subdue the consul. The answers above are the English reading of that same thread plus the patch note.
