Anno 117 Get the Game

Cinis layouts

Cinis is the large island north of Latium in Prophecies of Ash. Anno Union places the volcano behind the main construction area, which is why megacity screenshots are possible: the skyline is not sitting in the crater. I found no downloadable Cinis stamp pack on 6 Nov 2026.

What the volcano does to a plan

You can disable eruptions in settings. Doing that also removes Bloom bonuses and new obsidian, and once deposits empty you cannot keep paying Caecilia. While eruptions are on, mines and quarries stop in the eruption phase. Farms and fisheries lose 75 percent in volcanic winter. Falling rock can hit the city. Lava does not swallow the main build area, according to the same dev blog.

Beauty versus supply

Black beaches, old lava roads, and abandoned villas are the scenery Anno Union describes. A beauty build can face the cone. A supply build should keep farms off the tiles you are willing to lose for a season, and it should keep an obsidian stock if you still want Caecilia’s specialists. Footprint counts are not in the blogs, so this page stays a zoning note.

Questions

Can the volcano delete my city?

The dev blog says lava does not take the main build area. Rockfall can still hit buildings. That is one official description.

Should I turn the volcano off for a megacity?

You can. You then give up obsidian income and the Bloom soil bonus.
