Production calculator
Choose Latium, Albion or Aegyptus, select a resident tier, and enter your population and actual residents per home. The calculator below turns occupied homes into goods demand and the number of final production buildings required at 100 percent productivity.
Calculate demand and production buildings
Enter the resident count and the actual occupancy of your residences. Consumption is per residence, rather than per citizen. Select the goods your homes actually receive in the table.
Fill in both number fields to calculate demand.
| Good | t per residence/min | Demand t/min | Final producer | Buildings | Source status |

Residences = residents ÷ occupancy, rounded up. Demand = residences × consumption per residence × difficulty factor. Buildings = demand ÷ output per minute, rounded up. Production buildings run at 100 percent; plan their inputs separately.

Enter population and home occupancy
Consumption is charged per residence. A population total on its own cannot tell you how many homes need supply, because services, goods and bonuses affect occupancy. Use the actual average number of residents in your homes. For example, 1,000 residents with 20 residents per home means 50 residences. This example is arithmetic, rather than a claim that a tier always houses 20 people.
Choose your consumption setting
The published calculator data lists Low, Medium, High and Very High consumption at factors 1, 1.25, 1.5 and 1.75. Choose the setting used by your save. Update 3.0 introduced the very high option for new saves; an older save retains its existing consumption setting. The rate table identifies its evidence as one source: the public Anno 117 Calculator data, checked on 6 November 2026.
Read the building result
Demand is measured in tonnes per minute. Each final factory count is rounded up, so a requirement for 2.2 factories displays three buildings. A final producer processes the good itself: upstream farms, mines, fuel and transport still need supply. An import label means that the published producer belongs to a different region. Use the linked production layouts to plan its inputs, and the goods guide to understand the chain.
Share and compare
Changing a field updates the page address. Copy that address to keep the selected region, tier, population, occupancy and consumption setting. The English and German versions use the same dated data and formula. A different mix of supplied needs changes actual demand, so consider which goods your residences consume when planning a larger population.
Questions
Why must I enter residents per home?
Published goods consumption is per residence. Actual occupancy converts a resident count into the number of homes requiring goods.
Does the result include every production building in the chain?
The result gives final producers. Follow the production-chain and layout pages for the farms, mines and other inputs feeding them.
