Update 2.0

Update 2.0 arrived on 20 Aug 2026 together with The Hippodrome. If a guide still assumes the launch-day bread rate, it is describing the game before this patch.

New tools

Photo mode, a note tool, and rebinding arrived in this update. Steam trading cards were added as community rewards. Honoured guests visit based on Prestige. New heroic specialists appeared. The Hall of Fame gained a page for Twitch Drop history.

Mod and build quality of life

Multiplayer warns when players do not share a mod set. The Lua console shortcut is documented in the notes. Incompatible mods raise a warning. Monument events such as the amphitheatre and hippodrome can repeat on their own. Trade routes can be copied. Street setup can be switched in the build panel. Fields and forests accept both a grid and a brush.

Bread

Bread consumption rose by about 50 percent on every tier. Splendor ranks add an extra bread need for Liberti. You can toggle a good’s consumption from the residence menu. That bread change is the one number Anno Union states outright for 2.0.
